Hampton Roads for Life

Hampton Roads for Life is a coalition of Protestant and Catholic believers grieved by the impact of abortion on our community. 

(What we believe)

Our mission is to pursue the closing of abortion clinics in Hampton Roads through prayer, education, activism and public policy. Our immediate focus is  the new Planned Parenthood facility at 515 Newtown Road in Virginia Beach.

Abortion Statistics

Approximately 9,000 preborn children lose their lives to abortion each year in South Hampton Roads.

For every two children born in Tidewater, one additional child will lose their life to abortion.

Each year in the United States of America more than 1.2 million preborn babies lose their lives to abortion.

Since abortion was legalized in 1973 more than 50 million preborn children have lost their lives to abortion.  Over 16 million of these were African American babies.

One of every six abortions are performed on women who identify themselves as “born again” Christians.

Abortion is the leading cause of death among African Americans with more than 47% of African American pregnancies ending in abortion.
